Brackett Spring

·         Renovating houses at Brackett Spring. The project will be a combination of apartments and single family dwellings for seniors and parents of young children.
·         The Land Bank continues to look for funding to increase the amenities of and add community infrastructure to the site.

Brackett Spring will be a close knit collection of houses and suites rented to seniors and families with children. The buildings are situated on Rainbow Rd past the fairgrounds, and are nestled together on a woodland 8 acre lot. The Land Bank’s Vision for Brackett Spring is a balance between community space and privacy for the individual or family. Each building has been placed so that there is room for a yard or garden, while being within easy reach of the central area. Funding permitted, The Land Bank intends to build some covered play areas to supplement the available green space, and also has a community room or building in mind. The community room will be bookable by residents for projects that are too unwieldy for the tenant’s own living area, and will double as a shelter with propane heaters in case of power outages.
